Gymnastics has been apart of my life since I was 7 years old. Once I got started, there was no looking back. After rapidly moving up I decided I wanted to go the competitive route. I competed until I was 17 years old. After my last year competing I starting coaching only a couple months after and I have been doing it ever since. Gymnastics is easily the best thing I have ever come across and it has become the very thing I enjoy doing even during my free time. Become a coach is something I have dreamed about for a long time and it is a dream come true. I love seeing the smile on the kids faces when we do an event they like doing. Or seeing them overcome an obstacle I know thy have struggled on makes me so happy.
Hi everyone I’m Jillian! I was born in Glendale CA and raised in Oxnard. I’m currently studying Political Science at Ventura College. I did gymnastics at Gold Coast for about 10 years then started coaching shortly after. Since being at Gold Coast I was able to create relationships with coaches and athletes that made me grow my passion for the sport and has led me to coach along side my old coaches and teammates which has been absolutely incredible. Ive been coaching for 5 years and as a coach I hope to instill confidence in my gymnasts and help guide them in a direction that gives them a better understanding how to trust themselves when performing their skills and I hope through my coaching they can enjoy the sport as much I enjoy coaching them.
Gymnastics has been my life since age five. Transitioning from gymnast to coach after a decade of dedicated practice seemed like a natural step. Coaching lets me stay connected to the sport I love, bringing joy as I see young athletes discover their passion and improve. It’s about more than technical skills – I aim to instill love for gymnastics, create a safe space, and help kids build confidence. Being a coach is a responsibility and a cherished privilege.
I started gymnastics at 3 years old started competing when I was 9. I was welcomed to Gold Coast with open arms and into a team that became my family. Thanks to Gold Coast I found my passion for gymnastics I lost at a different gym. I started coaching at Gold Coast as a way to return that favor and inspire young gymnasts. Each student that I have is different and I take the time to get to know each and every one of them. No one way of coaching is universal for every student. As I get to know my students I learn how best to coach them, encourage them, and see them excel. I hope to pass on not only the gymnastics skills that I have learned but also the life skills that come from being a gymnast.
Hi, my name is Zaveah! I am 17 years old and a senior at Rio Mesa High School. I have been apart of Gold Coast ever since I was 7 years old. After being a competitive gymnast for about 8 years, I’ve decided to start coaching the sport I love most. The discipline, confidence, and dedication that my coaches has taught me has had such a great impact on my life, it’s what made me who I am today! I have made many amazing memories at Gold Coast and hope for these young athletes to make even better memories throughout their own journey. Being apart of their journey is such an honor. Not only being able to show them the amazing aspects of gymnastics but to guide them as they build up discipline, dedication, and confidence so that they can become the best gymnast they can ever be.
